Is it filling the land or the air and the ocean??? If you have ever been to this dump you know the meaning of the word depressing! To see the wind blowing all the plastic bags and other trash through the air towards Maalaea and other beautiful parts of Maui, one cannot help but wonder how human beings with brains can allow this to happen continually every day for God knows how long! This is a crime against all residents and I for one will never throw another plastic bag into the dump! |

It seems to me they could find a less windy place for the land fill or build a better and higher fence! That is just a simple solution. If they really tried do you think they could come up with a better plan? You can use recycled paper bags! I do whenever it is possible. Plastic bags should be against the law. Take a drive by the dump and see for yourself! If you are not compelled to take action after seeing it in real life, there is no hope for the future. |
